Hornet is gearing up for a bit of hibernation for the winter of 2009 so we can work on recording. We have plans to record 5-6 songs in January at an undisclosed location. We will then produce these songs, and send them in a package to Cincinnati, OH. Then the fine folks at Phratry Records will open it and make a split twelve-inch phonograph record, with Knife the Symphony's songs gracing the other side. This will be released as soon as humanly possible on Phratry Records. Hornet has found a new home with Phratry for documenting our music. We will also be providing a digital release with this new record.
John has been busy with school and adding to the population of the world. We have a new birth in the family, Darby Windsor Patterson III. Kidding on the "III" part, it just sounds so dignified. Healthy baby boy from the love of John and Becky Patterson. The Hornet larva continue to grow.
Tom will be showering Hornet fans with a new batch of shirts for the new year, so keep your eyes peeled. The last shirts were well received and we can't keep them in stock.
Mark is still the man of a thousand jobs. He still records, slings coffee, writes novels and rocks in two other bands. He parked his Harley in the garage for the winter and just purchased some cross-country skies. A loner Dotty, a rebel.
Chafe is busy as hell with school, art projects, serving concessions at the theatre, renovating his house and rocking in another band that still remains nameless.
Remember, Hornet is still alive and loves you.
